Satisfaction Guarantee and Limited Warranty for Metabo HPT Power Tools

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee for Power Tools

All Metabo HPT Power tools (hereinafter referred to as the "Product/s”) are inspected before they leave the factories to ensure the highest quality for customers. If you are not satisfied with any Metabo HPT power tool within 30 days of purchase, please return the Product, complete with retail packaging and components, with receipt to the original place of purchase for a refund or replacement. See “Limited Warranty" below for accessories & parts and further warranty information. FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: This warranty starts the date of delivery of the product to the consumer.

This guarantee excludes all Outdoor Power Equipment, including 2-cycle & 4-cycle gas powered equipment and battery & electric powered Outdoor Power Equipment.

Limited Warranty

The below limited warranty coverage is conditioned upon the original purchaser furnishing adequate written proof of the original purchase date. FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: This warranty starts the date of delivery of the product to the consumer. Please read this entire document for terms that apply to all limited warranty coverage.

This limited warranty does not apply to Outdoor Power Equipment, including 2-cycle & 4-cycle gas powered equipment and battery- and electric-powered Outdoor Power Equipment. Check our website for: updated product warranties for your model and Outdoor Power Equipment warranty terms.

Professional 5-Year Limited Warranty

Products are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the original purchase date. Some Products are excepted from this policy and have different limited warranty terms; see Exceptions below.

Lifetime Limited Warranty for Cordless Lithium Ion Power Tools

The Product categories listed below are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a Lifetime from the original purchase date in non- industrial use; wear and tear is not covered. Lifetime is defined as the serviceable life of the Product. “Serviceable life of the Product” is defined as the period during which the supply of all components is available. Check website for specific models*.

2-Year Limited Warranty

The Product categories listed below are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the original purchase date.

1-Year Limited Warranty

The Product categories listed below are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date.

90-Day Limited Warranty

The parts listed below are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a period of 90 days from the original purchase date.

30-Day Limited Warranty

The Product category listed below is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the original purchase date.

Accessory Products (Excludes Fasteners)

Owner's Registration Card

The return of the Owner's Registration Card by the original purchaser within 10 days after the original purchase date is not a condition precedent to coverage under this warranty.

Warranty Coverage

This Product is warranted by Koki Holdings America Ltd. against defective materials or workmanship. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to provinces.

This warranty is void if: the defects in materials or workmanship or damages result from repairs or alterations which have been made or attempted by others or the unauthorized use of nonconforming parts; the damage is due to normal wear and tear, the damage is due to abuse (including but not limited to overloading of the Product beyond capacity), failure to operate the unit in the manner specified by the owner’s manual, improper or lack of maintenance, improper set up or altered Products, neglect, accidents, acts of nature, improper adjustments, or if the damage is due to use of the Product after partial failure or use with improper accessories.

Except as noted above, this warranty does not cover repair or replacement of wear and tear or maintenance items, including but not limited to: brushes, piston drivers, bumpers, and springs. Regular maintenance, adjustments to the alignment, and wear items are not the responsibility of Koki Holdings America and are not covered under this warranty.

Online Purchases

In the interest of maintaining the quality of Products sold we sell, and to protect consumers from counterfeit, improperly modified, or illegally acquired Products, this warranty will be void if the Product was purchased online and was not purchased from an “Authorized Online Retailer”.

Warranty coverage for online purchases is conditioned upon the original purchaser furnishing Koki Holdings America or our Authorized Service Center with adequate written proof of the original purchase date as well as the entity or service that the Product was purchased from. Should the purchaser be unable to provide adequate proof of purchase date and/or source of purchase, fulfillment of warranty coverage will be left to our sole discretion.

Warranty Performance

DURING THE ABOVE WARRANTY PERIOD, SHOULD YOUR PRODUCT EXHIBIT A DEFECT IN MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP, SUCH DEFECT WILL BE REPAIRED WHEN THE COMPLETE PRODUCT AND PROOF OF PURCHASE IS RETURNED, POSTAGE PREPAID AND INSURED, TO AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER OR FACTORY SERVICE CENTER. OTHER THAN THE POSTAGE AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENT, NO CHARGE WILL BE MADE FOR REPAIRS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY.

THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES, WRITTEN OR ORAL. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOKI HOLDINGS AMERICA LTD., DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE; TO THE EXTENT SUCH DISCLAIMER IS NOT PERMITED BY LAW, SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. IN NO EVENT SHALL KOKI HOLDINGS AMERICA BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY COSTS, ATTORNEY FEES, EXPENSES, LOSSES OR DELAYS ALLEGED TO BE AS A CONSEQUENCE OF ANY DAMAGE TO, FAILURE OF, OR DEFECT IN ANY PRODUCT INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CLAIMS FOR LOSS OF PROFITS.

Some states or providences do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. Some states or provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty applies only to Products purchased and used in the United States and Canada. For Products purchased in but used outside the United States and Canada, this warranty covers only warranty service within United States and Canada (and does not include shipping outside the United States and Canada).

You can register your tool here.
When registering always use capital letters and do not use spaces in the model# or after the last letter of the model#. If you are still having trouble registering your tool you can contact customer service via phone 800-706-7337 or via live chat.

2. Where is the serial number located on my tool?
On most tools the serial number is located on the rating plate. The exception is on Pneumatic Nailers, where the serial number is located by the air inlet.
